Job Status Update
Well, I had my first interview on Tuesday and it went really well. I met with Leah from HR first and then she had the helpdesk supervisor come over to interview me. The helpdesk guy was really cool, easygoing. I thought it went really well and apparently I was right! They called me Wednesday to see when I could come in for a second interview with the I.T. Director guy. Since I'm not doing anything right now I was able to go in on Thursday.
The second interview was a little weird. The guy said he liked my attitude and my customer service experience, but was concerned about my I.T. knowledge. Want to know what he based that on? The words that makeup acronyms. Seriously! He wanted to know what the letters in TCP/IP, VPN, and MAC stood for. Didn't care if I knew what those things were or how to support them, just wanted to know the words. Seems kinda silly to me but oh well. They only did a second interview with one other girl so it's between me and her. My inside source says she has less I.T. experience than I do so hopefully I get the job (unless she's good with acronyms...)
She was supposed to have her interview today but they may have rescheduled because of the blizzard. I'm anxious to find out one way or the other so hopefully she interviewed today and I'll hear from them on Monday.

Fingers and all other appropriate appendages crossed for you on your job, Kate. And not to worry, TCP/IP is a hard one.... VPN I would have known, and MAC I could have had a stab at.... But that's hardly necessary for a help desk job. Make sure you post again when you know!
