This video shows the sad, horrible truth. People tell themselves that spay/neuter is unnatural, or that the animal should be able to have 1 litter first, or that their children need to see the miracle of birth. Unfortunately most of the kittens that come because of all those excuses will probably be euthanised. There are many shelters in Columbus that take cats, but only until they hit capacity. They are “no-kill” shelters. Unfortunately there are thousands of more cats that those groups can’t take in. If they’re left on the streets they spread disease and multiply at an alarming rate making the problem even worse! CAHS manages to save 19% of those cats, but 81% have to die so the others can live.
~PLEASE~ spay or neuter your pet. Don't let more innocent animals die.
